Amaia Jone Betzuen Álvarez holds a PhD in Business Management specialising in Innovation and Internationalisation. Thesis Title: Development of a Calibration Model for Losses Due to Inherent Risks in a Reverse Mortgage. Survival Risk Metric (05/07/2016). Grade: Outstanding Cum Laude She received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the UPV-EHU (2018). Throughout her professional career, she has taught various subjects related to Business Administration and Management (FINANCE and ORGANISATION area) at the UPV-EHU. She balanced this with her role as a financial and tax advisor at BBK (now Kutxabank) from 2008 to 2010. Currently, she is a trilingual Teaching and Research Staff member at UPV-EHU. She has undertaken various research stays internationally (USA) and has been a visiting professor at universities in France and/or Italy, teaching in Master's programmes related to financial ethics and professionalism based on European MiFID and MiFID II regulations. Additionally, she has given various presentations at International Conferences related to her research field and has published articles in high-quality scientific journals (see CV). Her research focuses on the following areas: Financial Management, MiFID regulations and good banking practices, Financial Advisory, Behavioural Finance, Professionalism, Financial Well-being of the Elderly, Ageing, and Financial Planning for the Silver Generation.
