Ainara Larrondo Ureta is Senior Lecturer (Trilingual profile) at the Department of Journalism. She holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and a Master's degree in Contemporary History from the UPV/EHU. She has been a postdoctoral visiting researcher at the University of Glasgow (Scotland, 2012) and has given teaching lectures (PAP-Erasmus) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan (Italy, 2018), the University of Udine (Italy, 2018), Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen (The Netherlands, 2017) and Beira Interior (Portugal, 2013). She has teaching experience in undergraduate subjects related to writing (Newswriting, Opinion genres, Feature and in-depth storytelling, Writing and creation of web content), and others (Introduction to Online Journalism, Ethics and journalistic profession, Print media technology). At the postgraduate level, she teaches subjects related to digital communication and innovation. As a researcher, sh has been awarded four six-year research periods by the Spanish State Research Agency, one of them transfer type. She has published more than two hundred works in the form of chapters, books and articles in quality academic journals, more than twenty of which are included in indexes and impact positions (Q1 and Q2 of the JCR-Social Science Citation Index and SJR-Scopus, Dialnet Metrics, FECYT Spain, and others). She has presented more than sixty papers and communications at national and international conferences. These works have been developed in the framework of her continuous participation in more than twenty research projects funded in competitive public calls at European, national (Spanish Ministry's National Plans) and regional (Basque Government, UPV/EHU and others) levels. Since 2015 she is Main Researcher of 'Gureiker', a Consolidated Research Group (A type) of the Basque University System (IT1112-16; IT1496-22) (Basque Government). She has participated in five Educational Innovation Projects, in three of them as coordinator, and is currently involved in three other projects, one of them ENLIGHT, in collaboration with the University of Galway (ireland) and the University of Bratislava (Eslovaquia). This innovative educational activity has been developed within KZBerri Specialised Group, distinguished with an IKD teaching mention by the UPV/EHU's Educational Advisory Service. She has led and participated in relevant research and transfer contracts with public entities (Euskal Irrati Telebista, EITB). During her career, she has supervised several doctoral theses and Master's Degree Final Projects (TFM).
