Abstract

In order for university students to become the protagonists of their learning process, it is necessary to promote a change in the teaching model based on an active role for them and to enable them to develop significant learning and the necessary skills to face the new challenges they face in society. This also occurs in the development of communication skills in students. In this context we find the Pechakucha presentation system, which follows a 20X20 format (20 slides and 20 seconds long each). In the present investigation, through a mixed methodology of evaluation, it has been possible to deepen on the one hand the potentialities and limitations perceived by the students in relation to the methodology, on the other hand, it has been possible to delimit the self-perceived learning and in addition, proposals of improvement have been collected. The results highlight that this methodology is motivating and develops aspects normally not worked on throughout the degree such as the development and implementation of an individual oral presentation, proving effective to understand and synthesize the topics developed, and maintain the attention of the listener.
