Doctor by the Universidad del País Vasco - Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea with the thesis Efecto de la gestión en vivero sobre las repoblaciones de pinus radiata d.don 2006. Supervised by Dr. M. Karmele Duñabeitia Aurrecoechea, Dr. Juan Pedro Majada Guijo.

PhD (2006) in Biological Sciences from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. He has worked on forest plant quality, modeling production and nursery management and the ecophysiological response of reforestations during the first years of their establishment, at the UPV/EHU and the forestry section of SERIDA of the Principality of Asturias. Currently, researching on the continuous improvement of Science Education and Education for Sustainability, both in formal and non-formal education. He participates in various national and international research projects, and in teaching innovation projects within the Campus Bizia Lab and IKDi3 Laborategia calls. Between 2003 and 2012, teaching in the Biology degree of the Faculty of Science and Technology (UPV/EHU) for a total of 5 years. Since 2014 holding different teaching positions in the area of Didactics of Experimental Sciences, as a Associate Professor since July 2022.
