ALLUR ARANBURU

Associate Professor in the Department of Business Organization at the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU), affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Business (Gipuzkoa section) of the UPV/EHU. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the UPV/EHU (2011) and a PhD in the field of Economics and Business from the University of Girona (Interuniversity Doctoral Program in Law, Economics and Business, 2014). He also obtained a Master’s degree in Political and Economic Integration of the European Union (2012) and a Master’s degree in Management and Administration in the Socio-Healthcare Sector (2012), both from the UPV/EHU. He has participated as a researcher in various competitive research projects and groups (UPV/EHU, consolidated research groups of the Basque University System, and national programs, among others), addressing topics such as quality management, environmental management, and sustainable development. His research has been published in recognized academic journals, including Industrial Management & Data Systems, Business Strategy and the Environment, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and Journal of Safety Research, among others. He has also taken part in, and provided research leadership for, international and national projects and contracts focused on university-business collaboration, dual or work-integrated higher education, and university entrepreneurship. In the field of university management, he has held several positions of responsibility, including Director of Internships, Dual Education, and Employability at the UPV/EHU within the Vice-Rectorate for Students and Employability (2021–2025), and Vice-Dean for Business Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Business (2018–2019). He also has professional experience as an economist and researcher in various institutions, such as Orkestra–Basque Institute of Competitiveness (2008) and the Matia-Ingema Gerontological Institute (2011–2017), among others.
