Abstract

This article summarises a methodology for working with visual arts university knowledge from an artistic point of view; a practice based on rules, obstacles and limitations. No Tres-passing examines the possible relationship between creativity and knowledge transfer in the context of university education. The main goal is discovery learning, learning through ac-tion as well as clarifying theoretical problems or internalising concepts, and related to this, researching the possibilities of using narrative language with image and sound. The exercise is based on the documentary ‘The Five Obstructions’ (Lars Von Trier & Jorgen Leth, 2013). In it, Lethe recreates an audiovisual creation in five different ways, taking into account the conditions and obstacles that Trier will place on him. This idea confronts the idea of free expression and calls into question that inspiration is the sole or main engine of creativity. One of the characteristics of the approach is to put into practice Elisabeth Ells-worth’s interpretation of psychoanalysis in relation to education. What is sought is for stu-dents to acquire first-hand knowledge; they will develop their vision, and a place will be made for the peculiarity of each.
