Zusammenfassung

New technologies give the chance to incorporate several interactive tools in the educational field, improving motivation and comprehension among digital natives (Prensky, 2001), who grow among screens and have developed their own information consumption patterns. This investigation proposes the implementation of digital journalism formats –docuwebs and special information features– as teaching resources for Contemporary World History in Basque high schools. In this way, the study pretends to determine if this interactive resources encourage active participation among young people and favor a better content assimilation. This proposal of action is based on a mixed methodology which combines quantitative and qualitative analysis, taking several previous bibliography as a reference (Tsou, Wang, & Tzeng, 2006; Gifreu, 2014; Valbuena, Ortiz & Agudelo, 2015). The case study will focus on a comparison of qualifications of students and, at the same time, it will go in depth into attitudes and motivations towards these informative reports.
