Abstract
In order to obtain SNOMED CT terminology in Basque, we developed KabiTerm and MatxinMed systems. Kabiterm uses the nested structure of the English complex terms, to produce Basque equi- valences. MatxinMed is the health domain adaptation of the Machine Traslation system Matxin. We evaluate both systems by means of the Medbaluatoia campaign that implies the Basque health commu- nity. The implication of the people has been very positive and the results show the superiority of KabiTerm.
