There is wide agreement that electronic banking on the one hand has a great impact on the whole bank market, and on the other hand is changing the means by which firms and households obtain financial information and contract financial services. This paper analyzes data from the 2004 Spanish survey which included a battery of questions regarding firms� use of electronic media for financial transactions and decision making in financial department of firms. The survey provides a rich source of information on the current adoption of e-banking technologies in cash management functions. This paper examines what types of electronic banking technology are open to firms, how various electronic products might be attractive to them in terms of improved affordability and ease of use, functionality, controlling development costs, and developing multiple business cases in the use of scenario simulation for financial decision making.
