Aritz Etxebarri Coello, Bilbao, 1973. He obtained a degree in Industrial Engineer in the Electrical specialty from the ETSII of Bilbao of the UPV/EHU in 2000. In October 2000 he joined the INASMET Foundation (currently integrated into the research center TECNALIA) through the Technology Centers Foundation fellowship. In 2002 he went from being an intern to being hired as a Technical Collaborator in the product engineering department, responsable for 2 years, among other tasks, for the prototyping of different testing machines and glass furnaces; from its design, simulation, manufacturing and commissioning. In 2005 he moved to teaching as Interim Lecturer at the ETSII of Bilbao (UPV / EHU) in the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation, teaching the subjects of Systems Engineering and Computer Science. Until 2012 he continued as a professor, combining teaching work with research work in the field of artificial vision, obtaining the Diploma of Advanced Studies in 2010. During this time he participated in various projects such as “Environmental Intelligence for Intelligent Transportation and Advanced Information and Communication Services” (ETORTEK: AmIGUNE 2006-2007), “Challenges for the secularization of digital territories” (SAIOTEK 2006), “Multi-technological Services Platform for Distributed Environments” (SAIOTEK 2007). In 2020 till date, he resumes his work as a teacher, this time at the School of Engineering of Gipuzkoa and again in the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation, teaching the subjects of Robotics and Automation and Control. Currently he is developing his doctoral thesis on applications of vision algorithms applied in V-SLAM technology.
