Doctor by the Universidad del País Vasco - Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea with the thesis Caracterización génica del nematodo del quiste de la patata globoder y g. Rostochiensis 1999. Supervised by Dr. Azucena Salazar, Dr. Alberto Vicario Casla.

Teaching profile I began my University teaching in 1995. During this time, I have participated in teaching the subjects of Genetics (compulsory) and Cytogenetics and Human Genetics (optional) in the Degree of Medicine, at the School of Medicine and Dentistry.Currently, I am a lecturer at the School of Science and Technology and teach the subjects of Human Genetics and Genomics in the Degree of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I coordinate the master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the UPV/EHU since 2014. Regarding post-graduate teaching, I am one of the lecturers in the courses Molecular Population Genetics of Fish and Shellfish . This course is part of the Erasmus Mundus Marine Resource Genomics Master. In addition, I supervise graduate student projects in the Degree of Biology and the Degree of Biochemistry. I also supervise master student projects within the Master in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine. Research profile I received my Ph.D. in 1999 with a study on "Genetic characterization of the potato cyst nematode". I did my postdoctoral stay at the Netherlands Proteomic Center, where I specialized in proteomic analysis applied to cell proliferation and differentiation processes. My research is linked to the research line directed by Dr. Ana Zubiaga, mainly focused on the genetic regulation of cell cycle and tumor development.
