Traditional territorial and town planning processes have led the world population towards unsustainability. Industrial activity is one of the basic reasons of resource exhaustion and environmental deterioration due to the production of goods. Production activity must seek new targets and methods of action on land, via integrated management of economic, planning and sustainability parameters on a regional scope, set within sustainable projects which contemplate environment, economy, society and culture. A possibility here would be 3D analysis of the problem using multiple criteria. Thus analysis would be performed from three planes, the first – economic and social aspects; the second – planning perspective both locally (town planning) and globally (territorial layout); and third – assessment using study ambits (criteria) quantified through indicators.
