The search of the maximum levels of sustainability in the construction’s process leads us, up today, to the consideration of this concept from the starter phase of design of buildings, and also in the manufacture of the different components that integrates the above mentioned buildings. One of the fundamental scopes of the sustainability is the energetic saving of the buildings. For this mentioned energetic saving it is necessary, the optimization of the thermal behaviour of the elements which delimited the internal and external environment. The new Technical Code of the Building (CTE) introduces new thermal requirements that must be complying for the closing systems of the buildings, which determine the characteristics that must have the components that integrate it. The present document analyzes the above mentioned requirements for the case of a block of concrete, marking the premises of design to obtain an element optimized in his thermal properties.
