El impacto de la liberalización del transporte aéreo sobre las relaciones individuales del personal a bordo de aeronaves: un análisis crítico desde la perspectiva del derecho de trabajo

Abstract

The objective of this article is to make an approach to the impact that the liberalization of the airline sector has had on the working conditions of workers on board aircraft (pilots and cabin crew) in the EU context, summarizing the study carried out by the author of these lines in her doctoral thesis. To do this, the following scheme will be followed: first, the evolution of commercial air transport will be briefly explained and some ideas will be given about the relevant legal framework for the effects of this topic; Secondly, the context in which community air transport operates will be described with the aim of identifying and analyzing the main practices and strategies that, from a labor point of view, generate major questions and/or problems; and, finally, a series of proposals will be established that aim to contribute to the protection of workers on board aircraft in the face of the evident precariousness of the sector
