Abstract
This article will analyze some of the most remarkable cases of venality in Navarre during the reign of Charles II of Austria (1665-1700). We are going to see some of the results of an ongoing doctoral thesis highlighting the contextualization of venality, the objectives pursued by the buyers of the royal graces and some of the most prominent confrontations that occurred in the kingdom as a result of that process. The refore, it will allow us to improve our understanding of the relations between the king and the elites in the referred chronology and their integration aspart of the structure of the Spanish Monarchy.
