Abstract
The research is focused on the impact of offshoring in generating contemporary spatiality. Not only people but materials, information, energy, products... are on the move right now, so issues of mobility are centre stage; they challenge social sciences and architecture, disciplines that have traditionally been focused on a sedentary society. The purpose of this doctoral research is to achieve two specific tasks: first, it intends to analyse the influence of the new spatial turn produced by offshoring in four architectonic aspects: places, structures, programmes and constructions. Secondly, the analysis of these urban potentials will frame possible strategies for a coherent architectural practise with current demands.
