Abstract
In a world characterized by an unbridled capitalism, where hyperindividualism and the morality of self-realization run at ease, medium and long-term intersubjective bonds and commitments tend to dissolve. Thus, solidarity is challenged with respect to its very conditions of possibility. In this context, the reconfiguration of ties of solidarity acquires special relief. This work refers to solidarity as a nuclear and singular category of what is known as a social and solidarity economy (ESS) and raises a conceptual view of solidarity in light of the contributions of the “Theory of creativity of action”and the “Genesis of the values”of Hans Joas, inviting us to think of solidarity as a dynamic, operative, situated, contingent and fragile value, which compromises and is updated in each historical present.
