Resumen
Prenatal Diagnosis Unit’s outcomes in our centre were analysed during fist year working. Six hundred and forty amniocentesis were performed and the increased maternal age was the indication for a 92.5% cases. Pregnancy and cytogenetic outcomes, procedure factor were evaluated. The spontaneous fetal loss rate was 0.84% with a significative reduction in comparison to the outcome during the years 1989-1990. On the other hand, we found an abnormal cytogenetic outcome lower (2.81%); it can be in relation to the younger group in this study, due to the change for amniocentesis indication because<38 years old women are included.
