Abstract

The case of a 89-year-old woman who was diagnosed and surgically treated of malignant melanoma lentigo on the eyebrow region with a later development of a parotid gland tumor is presented. Such lesion is subsecuently treated with a diagnosis of metastatic malignan.t melanoma of its intraparotid lymph nades. A review of cutaneous lesions capable of having a melanic cells malignation is made, also a clasification of malignant melanomas according to clinic and histologic criterious is reported. At last, the metastatic lesions of malignan.t melanoma that in.volved the intraparotid lymph nades are studied, discussing the treatment and the importan.ce of an earlier diagnosis.
