Abstract
This article aims to describe the implementation of the Niu Jove project as an institutional response to situations of juvenile conflict and school absenteeism in the Llevant Sud district of the city of Palma de Mallorca. The project was characterised by the conjugation of general prevention strategies and the establishment of itineraries and individualised attention. The action principles were the participation of minors and their families, institutional co-responsibility, use of standardised territorial resources, the establishment of customised itineraries for individual attention, global intervention in personal, educational and family areas, multidisciplinary intervention and the action's time element.
