Abstract

We study here an unexpected example of heritage displaced, the aitarpiece of the Annunciation from Treviana (La Rioja), now preserved in one of the new parishes of Vitoria. We take care of their principals, the Ocio family, the historical context in which it was made, as well as their palace and chapel in this town of La Rioja. This Renaissance work was made by the artist Juan de Carranza I at the end of the second third of the sixteenth century and belongs to the so-called eclecticism of Burgos.
