Abstract
The unpublished documents of the woks that were accomplished in the church of Armentia on 1776, revea! interesting notices about the condition of the monument befare the undertaken reforms. The description of the works to be done in the south wall confirms sorne of the data given by the literary sources of the early portal (lbáñez de Echavárri, Landázuri) and, at the same time, provides accurate information about unknown details of it.
