Abstract

If the progressive convergence among some sectors of computing, information and pn of computers in teaching areas and the use of these media these multimedia products, under the educational software image can gradually make trivial or turn our classes into a show or it can even make us think our classes are hollywood, if you want. This fact can make "the dreams factory" turn into a "knowledge factory", controlling our thoughts with the suggestive sweetener of sound, movement and colour and, on the other side, it can be turned into "a ilusions factory" of a more equal and democratic society witch could have wide possibilities of giving response to new working demands where we projetct our expectations of social and economical mobility. This situation can hide a possible professional disqualification of the teaching staff and a bigger social and educational inequality for the students. Schools should urgently think about this fact and discuss it and the teachers should ask themselves why these more didactic, formative, cultural and educational possibilities offered by this new wordwide telematics reality should be introduced in their classes because the answer to this question is what makes teachers be the real leader and didactic agent in their teaching work.
