Abstract

This study aims to show the pedagogical use of the mind map in French as aForeign Language course. Specifically, it shows the use of the mind map in thewriting of newspaper articles, which allows students to subsequently carry out aclass project in small groups: the creation of newspapers. For this, the teachercreates a didactic sequence that allows students to be actively involved in theirlearning process and in which the mind map is used as a work tool. In addition, anInternet application is used to create these types of diagrams.The mind map not only contributes to acquire effectively the necessarywriting skills to write journalistic articles, even also to develop other fundamentalcapacities such as creativity, computer competence or cooperation betweenclassmates.
