Abstract

The research work we present aims to review and improve the practices established in the evaluation system of students in a public school of Primary Education of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, reflecting on proposals for educational improvement. A research and action process is carried out involving ten professors and five external advisers related to the University and the educational administration. The results reflect the most relevant issues addressed in the group debates, together with the decisions that affect the practice of evaluation in the classrooms: evaluation objectives, importance of information collection and time of evaluation action. It also describes new tools designed to facilitate the collection of information in order to perform a more developed and continuous learning assessment. The evaluation of continuing education requires specific instruments adapted to the curricular design. The mode of action research has allowed the development of a joint and consensual evaluation tool.
