Resumen

This paper presents the autobiographic work by the Basque writer Augustin Zubikarai (1914-2004), which had a remarkable relevance in Bilbao in the time that the city was besieges by Francoist troops, given that he was a editor in two Basque nationalist newspapers: Euzkadi and Eguna, the latter was an important cultural milestone, due to was fully edited in Basque language. The interest on that autobiographic work hinges on the fact of being a first-handed testimony about the situation in the Basque capital.
