Laburpena

Este artículo busca acercarse a la dimensión histórica del patrimonio cultural, donde me preguntaré por sus coordenadas temporales: una realidad tardo o postmoderna que tiene sus ecos en sensibilidades, prácticas, dispositivos e instituciones precursores de lo que hoy conocemos por patrimonio. Tras situar el origen del patrimonio cultural en torno a la segunda mitad del siglo XX, consolidándose como noción y realidad social en las tres últimas décadas, describiré los mecanismos por los que muchos teóricos sociales han tendido tradicionalmente a generalizar la noción más allá de su propia génesis sociohistórica. Finalmente, exploraré la idea del modelo patrimonial como concepto que ayuda a entender por qué la lógica patrimonializante se extiende, de forma retrospectiva, a prácticas y realidades anteriores: el patrimonio cultural se convierte en el modo genérico de referirse a toda clase de prácticas preservacionistas.
