Alteraciones en las superficies óseas de mamíferos durante el consumo humanouna aproximación experimental

Resumen

Los grupos humanos dejan marcas de masticación en las superficies de los huesos durante los procesos de consumo de carne. En este trabajo presentamos los resultados de un estudio experimental de modificaciones en huesos de oveja por mordisqueo humano. Éstas incluyen: pits, punctures, scores (marcas primarias), furrowing, crushing, bordes crenulados y en dientes de sierra y fracturas (marcas secundarias). Nuestros resultados sugieren que es posible caracterizar las marcas de dientes humanos en los huesos, su diversidad y las pautas de consumo.
