Abstract

The aim of this article is the analysis of the serie Maricón Perdido (Bob Pop, 2021), which portrays the construction of his identity as a homosexual, feathered, overweight and with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The methodology is based on textual analysis, focusing on the use of time, specifically the order and frequency of events. Thus, the analysis is divided into three sections: adolescence; early youth and, finally, Roberto/Bob's resistance strategy is analyzed through the figure of the author. The research concludes that Bob Pop's representation of dissident masculinity is conscious, meditated and political. The series breaks with the traditional chronological structure, through repetitions and reinventions, to address the experiences that build Roberto/Bob Pop. It describes the experience of the construction of subjectivity from a subaltern position, often through aggression. It not only crosses the temporal limits of its story, but also those of the story as an artifact, since the series is part of a transmedia world. The choice of this narrative structure is a vindication of new discursive forms of subjectivity that question the watertight categories of identity.
