Abstract

This paper discusses the relationship between megalithism and the first evidence of anthropization in Galicia from the Neolithic period. For this, we present the archaeopalynologycal study of 7 samples from the Dombate archaeological site (Cabana de Bergantiños A Coruña), characterized by the presence of two different funerary structures. The main results point to the development of anthropogenic processes prior to the construction of the old Dombate monument and during the use of recent Dombate, in an environment characterized by open deciduous forests, with the regional presence of pines and clear evidences of the development of economic productive activities between the second half of the Vth millennium and the beginning of the IInd millennium cal BC.
