Abstract
In the course of a project, knowledge is acquired, problems arise, and right or wrong decisions are made that could benefit later projects. Companies document and share such knowledge as lessons learned to improve performance in future work. These lessons can be added in all types of projects, including those carried out in the Project Based Learning (PBL) methodology. This paper presents how the motivation, dissemination, collection, review and publication of lessons learned in a subject using PBL has been organized. The analysis of the activity during two courses shows a high level of student satisfaction with the reading of lessons and the learning acquired. The number of proposals is similar to the number of students and the writer of good lessons appears as someone achieving good academic results, keeping a good follow up of the course without perceiving the lessons of others more positively than the rest. These results, and our experience stimulating the writing and use of lessons learned, make us think that they have a great educational potential and that they can be integrated in many PBL proposals.
