Resumen

In this article I will present data about the particle ote collected in interviews realised in Garazi andBortziriak. Each interview had two parts: during the first one speakers produced questions and duringthe second one they realised a grammaticality judgement task. Comparing the results from bothlinguistic areas, variation is attested: first, in Garazi the particles ote and -a can be used simultaneously;secondly, ote is attested in non-usual positions in Garazi; and, thirdly, ote is used in more contexts inGarazi than in Bortziriak. Based on the first two features, I will conclude that in the variety of Garaziote can be the head and the specifier of the Particle Phrase
