Relación entre indicadores de procedimiento y de resultado durante una temporada de fútbol en las cinco grandes ligas europeas

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer la relación entre los indicadores de procedimiento y de resultado (goles marcados y puntos acumulados) en equipos de fútbol de élite masculino. Para ello, se ha analizado el rendimiento de las cinco principales ligas europeas durante la temporada 2018-19 (98 equipos y 3.652 rendimientos). Diferentes Indicadores de Rendimiento (IR) han sido empleados: a) los de resultado: goles anotados y recibidos, y puntos obtenidos; b) los de procedimiento (IP): b1) para la fase de finalización ofensiva: tiros, centros, pases clave y anotar primero; b2) para la de creación ofensiva: pases intentados y realizados, y posesión de balón (%), y; b3) para la defensiva: recuperaciones y faltas cometidas en las Zonas 4-5 del campo. Un análisis de regresión múltiple explica el 83,2% de la varianza en la relación entre puntos y variables predictoras, así como el 82,9% en cuanto a los goles. Los principales resultados muestran que en la liga española los goles correlacionan menos con los puntos acumulados, y que la posesión del balón, el número de pases clave y marcar primero las variables que más correlacionan con el acúmulo de goles y puntos al final de la temporada en las cinco ligas.
