Abstract

This work presents the design of a teaching experience in sustainability. This experience is under development in the degree of Engineering in Industrial Electronics and Automatics, in the Faculty of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz, UPV/EHU (EIVG). In particular, students are required to analyse the thermal comfort in the building in order to optimize the energy consumption. This problem will be analysed through several subjects and will become the thread for: (1) presenting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), (2) raising awareness about its importance, (3) analysing a problem in a multidisciplinary way, (4) visualizing how to apply the acquired knowledge in the future challenges that students will face. The teaching experience will involve several actions in different subjects along the degree, including, optionally, the final degree project.
