Resumen

This proyect, developed in the Ecodesign Workshop of the Faculty of Engineering Bilbao, follows the “Ecodesign Procedure in 7 steps”. It must be borne in mind the enviromental variable when designing different street furniture products, as a streetlight, a bench, a waste bin and a bus shelter, that can replace the existing products in Bilbao but decreasing the enviromental impact. First of all, the factors that have influenced the choosing of these products for the use of this methodology have been analized. After deciding wich are the main enviromental aspects of the actual products, several ideas have been generated in order to reduce the enviromental impact asociated to these products. Because of the implementation of these ideas and other existing technical requirements, it has been developed a technical-enviromental specification and generated two conceptual alternatives of the products on the basis of the said specification. With the alternative that better fulfills the specifications, a detailed definition of the selected concept has been generated to obtain a final design. In the end, it has been established an action plan at the level of the products and evaluated the environmental improvements of these new products compared with the basis products.
