Resumen

Dada la relevancia social y económica de las entidades sin ánimo de lucro (ESAL), este trabajo pretende hacer una aproximación conceptual para determinar los principales avances realizados a nivel teórico en uno de los principales aspectos, su sistema de medición del desempeño (SMD). Para ello, en primer lugar, se describirá en términos cuantitativos la investigación realizada en este campo y, en segundo lugar, se identificarán las principales aportaciones realizadas y gaps existentes en el ámbito de la investigación de los SMD en las ESAL por medio de una revisión sistemática de la literatura
