Abstract
Teamwork skills are developed and accredited only in situations where teamwork is needed, but, unlike others competences, they cannot be practiced or demonstrated outside a context of collaboration with others. It is for this reason that, in a job or situation, the chances of progress in these skills will depend, not only on the working methods used and the organizational context, but also, and in a determinant way, of teammates. In this work different methods and processes used to form teams are analyzed. After that, we propose as a useful approach that teachers lead composition processes of the teams and the initial stages of formation thereof. Finally, a method that has been proven feasible, after an experience of five courses is presented. In this method, teachers of the subject form teams and provide guides to them through the first steps of its life cycle.
