Resumen

Biodiversity loss is one of the most worrying current environmental challenges and citizenship’s literacy on this issue isessential to address it. However, the ignorance of biodiversity is widespread and particularly notable regarding plants(phenomenon known as Plant Blindness). The aim of this research has been to assess whether secondary students (N=63)experience Plant Blindness from a multidimensional approach. The study revealed that the knowledge on the studiedareas improved along secondary education. Nevertheless, most students presented symptoms of Plant Blindness. Thus, the correlations detected among the different dimensions studied can shed light on the best didactic approach to addressthis phenomenon.
