Abstract
Lecturers from the Department of Didactics and School organization of the Faculty of education and Sports in Vitoria-Gasteiz at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/eHU) are planning to involve students in service-learning. Aiming to develop their Final year Dissertation, and guided by their tutors, students will be in charge of carrying out service-learning experiences by responding to real demands of educational centres. By involving with schools, students will commit to social reality, know the complexities of the daily life of an educational centre, and develop competencies to research and reflect in action. At an institutional level, through service-learning we aim to broaden University collaboration and have a greater impact in the community, promoting transformation in society and among every agent taking part in this project
