Abstract

University reforms in recent years have promoted the creation of scenarios that encourage the student participation in their own learning process and, consequently, the development of cooperative learning among students. Peer learning represents a modality that contributes significantly to achieving these objectives. In this paper, the experience of the Peer Tutoring Plan at the Education and Sport Faculty of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) is exposed. In order to evaluate the validity of the plan, they are collected by questionnaire and assessment session scores and opinions of 376 students belonging to the first year of the Degrees of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education of the Faculty. According to these data, the participating students show a high level of satisfaction with the Peer Tutoring Plan. Likewise, they consider that the relationship with the tutor students represents a great opportunity to develop cooperative and meaningful learning.
