Resumen
The objective of this study was, based on experiences of female Basque pelota ex-players, to know why they dropped out of competitive sport and to identify which characteristics should have a model adapted to their needs and interests. Post-structural feminist perspective was used. Experiences of four ex-players and a coach of Navarre were collected and analysed through in-depth interviews and group interview. They would like a new offer model adapted to their interests, highlighting aspects such as a good atmosphere and group commitment. The difficulties that were underlined would lead to resistance and empowerment. However, doubts and contradictions arose about how the offer should be. Given the diversity of realities, it could be complex to create a leisure time physical activity group. However, developing the leisure offer for women through their voices could contribute to greater effectiveness of adherence to physical activity.
