Resumen

Los resultados educativos obtenidos en los últimos años por el Estado español, en comparación con el resto de países europeos, están poniendo en cuestión muchas de las reformas adoptadas, y en consideración otras futuribles, como la propia formación del profesorado. El propósito de este estudio, es profundizar en la comprensión y el conocimiento del mentoring, como vía posible de afrontar una formación inicial de calidad sobre los futuros docentes en general y de Educación Física en particular. A tal fin, se ha realizado una revisión sistemática acerca de los programas de mentoring en Educación Física, un total de 36 trabajos han sido incluidos en la presente revisión, estando todos ellos relacionados con la escuela, el contexto, teoría y práctica del mentoring, las relaciones entre los participantes en dicha metodología, sobre las reflexiones y pensamientos críticos de los distintos participantes en la misma. Los resultados evidenciaron la existencia de dos tipos de mentoring influyentes en el éxito del programa, además de unas dimensiones que participan en el éxito del mentoring como son, el contexto, las relaciones entre los participantes, sus características personales, el análisis del desarrollo profesional, y los componentes que participan en estos programas.
