Resumen

The benefits of chemistry to society are great however people have a low awareness of it. Teaching chemistry using sustainable criteria could improve its social acceptance and interest. Green Chemistry plays an increasing role in research and development. The key point is that if we don’t produce or use dangerous substances, there is no risk, and there is no treatment and disposal of these substances. Many of the synthesis processes developed as part of green chemistry are too complicated to be taught outside of university. However it is possible to introduce the more accessible concepts through the presentation of case studies.
