Abstract

Based on the doctoral thesis “Approaches to an experience of contemporary malaise. Between the absence of symbol-art and the encounter with the bad forms in the work of Jon Mikel Euba “, this article focuses on the structure of the artworks and their changes in contemporary times. Through concepts symbol, simulation, myth, ritual and bad form, we will deepen the work of symbolization and its functional possibilities for society, paying particular attention to art. Among the changes postmodernity has produced, we will approach the impossibility of a social unification and the difficulty of symbolization.
