Resumen

The implementation of the Bologna Process has introduced continuous assessment processes, primarily formativeassessment, in many Spanish universities. In such kind of scenarios, rubrics provide many benefits that can remarkablybe improved using Visual Learning Analytics techniques. This paper presents EvalVis, a system that enhances feedbackbased on rubric assessment and visual learning analytics. EvalVis provides different visualizations for students andteachers. The visualizations included in EvalVis have been designed upon identification of visualization needs of studentsand teachers. The system provides students with information about their individual learning process and performance, including the capability to contextualize their information into the group. EvalVis also allows the teaching staff to monitordifferent groups of students and compare their evolution and performance. The enriched feedback provided by rubrics andvisualizations will help users to better understand and improve the learning and assessment processes in order to improvethem. EvalVis has been evaluated to check whether it covers the identified needs obtaining very good results.s
