Resumen
“Feminismo y cine de mujeres: categorización y debate durante los años setenta y ochenta” aborda una revisión hermenéutica de la categoría de cine de mujeres en su concepción, evolución y consolidación como objeto central de estudio de la teoría feminista anglosajona del cine durante los años setenta y ochenta del pasado siglo. El artículo pretende rastrear los pormenores y complejidades de un concepto sinuoso categorizado, desde sus orígenes, como un género cinematográfico eminentemente “femenino”. Un género que se perfilaba como el formato cinematográfico popular más cercano al deseo, la fantasía, las inquietudes y ansiedades de las mujeres y que se convirtió en importante caldo de cultivo para una reflexión profunda en torno a su virtualidad transgresora.
