Abstract

The writing workshops are the result of the cultural policy of Cuba, which is aimed at establishing a favorable climate for literary creation. They have become an important cultural institution showing the uniqueness of a creative, relevant and meaningful process. Contributions of literary workshop Dalgis Muñiz cultural development of the municipality Colombia, is a work that identifies as dimensions of cultural development participatory, socializing and identity and from the analysis of the indicators, values the contributions of literary workshop. The ethnographic and phenomenological methods, and techniques, participant observation, document review, questionnaire survey and interviews (structured and depth) they allowed enter the inner of the literary workshop, exchange with writers, with its readership and managers of cultural institutions. The writing workshop is a group that loves, defends and transmit culture. Their results, as an expression of that culture, become an imprint left on the town's history. For over thirty years shows the uniqueness of a creative, remarkable and momentous process identified by the formation of a considerable number of writers, creators of works published in Cuba and other countries, which promotes the participation of writers in national events and international, and the reading public in the activities of the workshop. The works of the workshop reveal the defense of their identity.
