Correlación entre la fuerza explosiva, la potencia aeróbica y la capacidad de repetir sprint en jugadores de baloncesto elite

Resumen

Objetivos: El objetivo de este estudio es determinar la relación entre la fuerza explosiva, la Potencia aeróbica y la capacidad de repetir sprint (RSA) específicamente en jugadores de Baloncesto masculino elite. Métodos: En este estudio participaron veinticuatro jugadores de baloncesto de elite (edades de 22.2±3.4 años, estatura de 197.1±6.2 cm, peso de 95.7±8.8 kg, experiencia de entrenamiento de 11.0±3.1 años, media±DE (desviación estándar). Se realizó el test de salto contramovimiento (CMJ) y el test incremental en rampa; midiendo la altura del CMJ y el consumo máximo de oxigeno (VO2max), respectivamente. Se realizó el test de la RSA con el total del tiempo de sprint (la suma de diez intervalos de sprint – RSAtot) y la disminución del sprint (índice de fatiga – RSAFI) calculados. Resultados: Se observó la disminución significativa en el rendimiento del sprint a partir de ocho sprints de 30 metros (P<0.05). Se determinó una correlación inversa fuerte entre el CMJ y la RSAtot (r=-0.74, P<0.01). No se encontró una correlación significativa entre el VO2max y la RSA, ni entre los resultados entre el CMJ y la RSAFI. Conclusión: El CMJ actúa como predictor de la RSA en jugadores de baloncesto de elite. Esto permite indicar que los entrenadores deben dedicar un tiempo adicional al desarrollo de la fuerza explosiva en los jugadores de baloncesto de elite durante el periodo preparatorio para mejorar el rendimiento de la RSA.
