Abstract

The objective of this paper is to show the advantages of active teaching methodologies. In particular, we describe an active learning experience where students propose new business ideas. The development of these ideas will enable them to acquire the necessary skills for marketing decision making. The results drawn from the experience show that active learning promotes the achievement of key competencies for university students and highlight the need to extend the use of new teaching techniques in the sphere of higher education.
