Abstract
We review the Bilbao daily ‘El Correo’newspaper since the beginning of the Spanish democracy to investigate what was the evolution of the infographics from the stage prior to the emergence of computers in newsrooms until their settlement at the beginning of this century. To do this we carry out a diachronic review of a certain type of infographics; those of election results, as they respond to a similar pattern of data each year and deal with same journalistic constraints and also comparable production. They will show how this type of journalistic genre woke up and developed year after year.
